What is the Reports App?

📑

Standard Report

A pre-built, printable summary of aggregate (monthly dataset) data for a selected facility and period. Ready to print or save as PDF.

📊

Reporting Rate Summary

Shows which facilities have submitted data for a given dataset and month — and which ones haven't. Essential for completeness monitoring.

🗄️

Aggregate Data Only

The Reports app reads from the monthly aggregate dataset (Data Entry app), not from the Capture event programmes.

Where to find it: Log in to savedhis2.helloworldnepal.com → Apps grid ⋮⋮⋮Reports
01

Standard Report

Printable facility-level summary of aggregate health data

Standard Report — Overview

📋

This Instance Has One Standard Report

Section A — Adolescent Service Utilization (Health Facility) — a formatted summary of the monthly aggregate dataset, broken into sections matching the data entry form.

🏥

Facility-Level Output

Run for a single org unit (health facility or ward) and one reporting period (month). The output is a formatted HTML table — ideal for printing and filing at the facility.

📅

Use Cases

Monthly facility review meetings · paper records backup · supervisor verification visits · sharing printed summary with facility in-charge.

🔗

Data Source

Reads from: Health facility data collection tools (Health facility level) — the monthly dataset submitted via the DHIS2 Data Entry app. Not the Capture programmes.

How to Run a Standard Report

1

Open the Reports App

Apps grid ⋮⋮⋮Reports. The Reports app opens with a left-hand navigation menu.

2

Click "Standard Report" in the Left Menu

The list of available reports appears. Click Section A — Adolescent Service Utilization (Health Facility).

3

Select Organisation Unit

In the parameter screen, click the org unit selector. Navigate the hierarchy (Nepal → Karnali → District → Municipality → Ward) and select the health facility you need.

4

Select Reporting Period

Pick the month and year for the report. Only periods that have data submitted will show meaningful results.

5

Click "Get Report" → Print

The report opens in the browser. Use Ctrl+P / Cmd+P to print, or browser → Print → Save as PDF to create a PDF file.

02

Reporting Rate Summary

Track which facilities have submitted data — and which have not

Reporting Rate Summary — Overview

Completeness at a Glance

For each facility under your selected org unit, shows: Expected reports (planned submissions) · Actual reports (received) · Rate % · On time %.

📅

Run Monthly

Best used at the end of each reporting month to check which facilities are still outstanding before the deadline. Run again after the deadline to record final completeness.

🏗️

District-Level View

Select a district or municipality as the org unit — the summary will list all facilities beneath it. Selecting a single ward shows only that ward's rate.

🎯

Dataset

Always select Health facility data collection tools (Health facility level) — the only monthly aggregate dataset on this instance.

How to Run Reporting Rate Summary

1

Open Reports App → Reporting Rate Summary

Apps grid ⋮⋮⋮Reports → left menu: Reporting Rate Summary.

2

Select Dataset

Choose Health facility data collection tools (Health facility level) from the dataset dropdown.

3

Select Organisation Unit

Choose a district, municipality, or province to see all facilities below it. Selecting "Karnali Province" gives a full province-wide view.

4

Select Period

Pick the month you want to check (e.g. April 2026). Click Get report.

5

Review & Follow Up

Facilities showing 0% or missing have not submitted. Note them down and contact the responsible data entry user to submit before the deadline.

Standard Report vs Reporting Rate Summary

📑 Standard Report

  • One facility, one month at a time
  • Shows the actual data values entered (counts, totals)
  • Formatted for printing / PDF
  • Used for: facility review, paper backup, supervisor visit
  • Requires data to already be submitted
  • Run after facility has submitted

📊 Reporting Rate Summary

  • Multiple facilities in one view
  • Shows whether data was submitted — not the values
  • Tabular, used on screen or exported
  • Used for: completeness monitoring, chasing missing submissions
  • Run before the deadline to identify gaps
  • Run after the deadline to record final completeness %
Combined workflow: Use Reporting Rate Summary to confirm all facilities submitted → then use Standard Report to review the content of each submission.

Monthly Reporting Workflow

📝

Facilities Submit

Data Entry app — monthly aggregate dataset submitted by deadline

📊

Check Completeness

Reports → Reporting Rate Summary → identify missing facilities

📞

Follow Up

Contact facilities at 0% — remind them to submit before the period locks

📑

Print Reports

Reports → Standard Report → print for each facility for review meeting

Record Final Rate

Run Reporting Rate Summary again after deadline — save final completeness %

Target: Aim for 100% reporting rate across all facilities every month. Anything below 80% should trigger immediate follow-up.

Reports — done! 🎉
